Shawnigan Defeats New Zealand Champions!

They’ve done it! The 1st XV has recorded the greatest victory in the history of Shawnigan’s rugby program, defeating Kelston Boys High School 17-15!

The victory marks the first time a Canadian team has won two games in the Sanix tournament. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the day!

  8. It was truly a “Magic Moment”
    The guys played like demons.
    I would say that 95% of the game was dominated by Shaw.
    It should never have come to “a last move decider”
    But wow!!!
    “What a gutsy kick that was”
    This game, “I think” was the best rugby game I have ever watched,
    and it was gratifying to see every player on the field and those on the side line giving their very best.
    It was unbelievably awesome!!!!

  13. Yeah! I had the happiest grin all day today….plus I was telling everyone I met…SLS won over New Zealand! Amazing! Thanks to the coaches and managers as well. Thank-you parents that are supporting the boys by being there and for the pictures! It means a lot to those of us back home here tracking the boys progress! GO SLS GO!
